SILVER: Sparks from the Flagstones Dance Book – Book Printer of the Year
A stunningly illustrated book, this project presented its own unique set of challenges, not least of which was the client’s desire for the aesthetic of uncoated paper, yet with the colour of gloss paper.
In order to achieve this fine balance, specific uncoated profiles had to be meticulously applied to the artwork. Additionally, print test sheets were utilised to ensure the desired end product was reached. The intricate process didn’t stop there. The heavy ink coverage required extra precautions to be taken in order to avoid any set off during the folding finishing processes.
Our team worked assiduously to leave no margin for deviations in consistency or colour throughout the publication. Special care was taken to confirm that the solid colours remained consistent, a crucial aspect of the overall aesthetic.
The result is a stunning book that we are extremely proud of. As the client affirmed,
“The book is beautiful, the quality is excellent and I am absolutely delighted with it.”
Trinity Bookbinding was responsible for lending their expertise to complete the finishing touches to this unique book.
